Product Description: Levonorgestrel Tablets contain the synthetic progestin hormone levonorgestrel. Levonorgestrel works primarily by inhibiting ovulation and altering the cervical mucus to impede sperm penetration.

Indications and Usage: Levonorgestrel Tablets are indicated for use as an emergency contraceptive to prevent pregnancy following unprotected intercourse or a known or suspected contraceptive failure. It is not intended for routine contraception but should be used only as a backup method.

Dosage and Administration: The recommended dosage of Levonorgestrel Tablets is typically one tablet, containing 1.5 mg of levonorgestrel, taken orally as soon as possible within 72 hours (3 days) after unprotected intercourse. The tablet can be taken with or without food. It is important to note that Levonorgestrel Tablets are more effective the sooner they are taken after intercourse.
